My Birthday in Nafplion

Last week on my birthday my mom and I went to Nafplio.

It is the former capital of Greece 

and lies about an hour and a half by car from here ...

I thought I still had many more beautiful pictures of this gorgeous old city,

but unfortunately ... 

They are somewhere on a backup because they were

taken with my previous camera.

Next time I will take some more pictures when I go there again.

Well of course I took some pictures from my purchases and gifts

when I got back at home...

The Tweety and Mickey Mouse are standing on a tube 

with some very strange candy, that I didn't dear to eat... 

Here I have everything unpacked ...

a mixture of all kind of miniatures LOL! 

My parents gave me money for my birthday so I could buy something myself.

I actually did buy something very very beautiful!! 

Well not here in Nafplion.

But I will tell you more about that later... 

Of course my mom spoiled me with some extra gifts... 

And here are the specific Greek things that I bought, 

all together ...

But I still find this piece the most extraordinary discovery!

It's a fruit bowl that is hand made of olive wood ...

It was truly a wonderful day!!

First we had a coffee together at the time that we arrived

and for lunch a delicious Gyros and fresh Greek salad.

Fortunately it was not too hot

So... a beautiful day for shopping as you have seen 

Mom, thanks for this wonderful day! 

We do this again next year
